Arun:

1)I feel that this is important for artist to study themselves to better improve your own style.
2) i love all art but a few of my favorites are Loomit, Seak, Codeak.
3) Maybe in some aspects but most i come up with on my own.
4) i feel that both are essential to the other. i learn new things all the time just from process work or drawing.
5) it is a visual guide into your mind, how you view things.
6) everything is relevant to what you produce, little things shape us for the better.

1) Art therapy is the use of art or the creation of art to help someone physically or mentally with whatever problem they may be facing.
2) Yes, when i am drawing or creating i find that is all i am thinking about. It helps me to understand more within my mind.
3) It gives that person a way to express themselves and it helps the therapist to maybe understand what they are going through.
4) whenever i get upset or just lost i will draw to reconnect with myself, or to just forget about what is wrong.
5) i think helping people is what life is about and whether it is through art or not it is important to do.

1) The reading and the video both talked about the human experience and how everything influences our lives and effects us differently.
2) yes, for advancement of our species we have to let older principles go that no longer fit within our society.

4) everyone experiences art differently, but that's not to say that two people can't have the same experience with the same outcome.
5) i agree that an individual's experience is essential to one's opinion, and no one artist will create the same art even if they have a similar experience.

1) I don't think so, it makes sense to me.
2) It sounds like he is being cynical, but there might be truth behind what he is saying.
3) If the matter is highly subjective is there a right or wrong?
4) I think that group think is good for some but maybe not for everyone, it's just another way for people to make connections in the world.
5) no i don't believe this, Ringling is one of the larger parts of the art world.
6) I would never place words over visual expression.

1) I disagree, you can teach people art techniques. It is much harder for people to conceptually understand but it is not impossible to teach someone.
2) Elkin's definition of "taught" is the same as instructing someone to do something.
3) The structure may inhibit ones mind, preventing them from thinking outside the box.
4) I agree art can be taught
5) I think so, i learned new processes in printmaking field of my study.
6) It might have taken you longer to reach your final results, if you had used traditional style instead.
7) I don't think it is about comparing one with another. everyone has good ideas, and as long as the good outweigh the bad ones you will find your success.
8) I don't think it hinders you unless you let it. you have to make the best out of what you have.
